Dozens of teams from the Central Jersey Sports Radio coverage area will begin their quest for sectional and state championships Wednesday, with more opening on Thursday, and some earning first-round byes to Friday or even next week.
The schedule is slightly different, typically starting on a Monday with public schools, but now moved to Wednesday in order to back-time the event into the final weekend of the season, where all the group titles will be decided – public and private – at Jersey Mike’s Arena (a.k.a. The RAC) at Rutgers University in Piscataway.
A number of area schools also will be hosting doubleheaders, with both their girls’ and boys’ teams home on the same night.
Below is the schedule for the state tournament by day for all sections with CJSR-area teams involved. Times are provided – where available – for local teams only, with some yet to be publicly announced. They will be updated as we get word about them. Local teams are in bold.
