It’s Cutoff Weekend for high school football in New Jersey, and it’s time to talk about who will make the playoffs – and who won’t – with Central Jersey Sports Radio analyst Marcus Borden!
Mike Pavlichko and Coach Borden take a look at all eight supersections with Big Central teams in the running starting with North and South Group 5, then North 4 and 3, followed by North and South Group 2 and 1.
And of course, they preview some of the key games coming up this weekend as they run through the playoff scenarios, including our Bellamy & Son Paving Big Central Game of the Week as No. 5 Piscataway visits No. 8 Sayreville. Marcus Borden talks about Highland Park-Metuchen, which he’ll be covering, including the pre-game L.J. Smith retirement ceremony at 6:30 pm before the 7:00 game, and we talk about No. 1 and unbeaten Elizabeth, with Alec Crouthamel covering their regular season finale at Williams Field against Somerville..
