NJSIAA baseball state tourney opens Tuesday with 33 CJSR-area public schools beginning play

Memorial Day Weekend has come and gone, which means its time for the NJSIAA state baseball tournament. There were 39 teams that qualified from the Central Jersey Sports Radio coverage area, with three – Ridge, Colonia and Middlesex – earning No. 1 seeds in their respective sections.

Public schools open play Tuesday, with non-publics beginning Wednesday, but three area teams have first round byes in the non-public sections, and they won’t start until later. And Immaculata will open on Tuesday, a day early, against Camden Catholic.

Here’s the schedule, by section, for Tuesday and Wednesday, the first day of the tournament for public and non-public schools:
