Stellar first-half defense that propelled Central Group 4 champion Montgomery to a 39-5 halftime lead gave the Cougars a 62-32 win over South 4 champ Lenape in the state Group 4 semifinals. The win sends Monty to its first-ever state championship game, where they will play Plainfield in the Group 4 finals.
