The second week of High School Football in New Jersey is in the books, and we’re talking about it on the Week Two edition of “Gameday with Marcus Borden.”
The biggest story of the weekend, of course, was JP Stevens snapping its 42-game losing streak, the longest in the state at the time, with a 22-21 overtime victory over Bound Brook. Coach Borden was there, and talked about the atmosphere, the Hawks’ comeback, and how the program has improved under second-year head coach Jason Goerge.
Also on the show, Coach Borden touches on Piscataway and Bridgewater-Raritan’s combined 100-point game, Rahway coach Brian Russo getting his 100th win, South Brunswick’s 2-0 start, and whether Highland Park – which ended its own skid at 51 games last year – cane make it three wins in a row when they play Dayton this Friday night.
