Now entering its fifth season, the Big Central Conference once again will showcase its entire 59-team football league with a Media Day on August 8th. And this year, it’s moving north, to Kean University in Union.
Last year, the BCC held its inaugural media day event over two days at Iron Peak Sports & Events in Hillsborough. This year, the event will continue, and bring teams from all across Middlesex, Somerset, Union, Hunterdon and Warren Counties.
Among the top teams who are expected to be at Media Day are Phillipsburg – No. 1 in the final 2023 Bellamy & Son Paving Top Ten, a North 2, Group 5 finalist and Thanksgiving Day winner over arch-rival Easton for the second straight season – and Bernards, which won the North 2, Group 2 championship.
St. Thomas Aquinas, meanwhile, finished 10-1 last season, and has the longest active winning streak in the Big Central against league teams at 25 games and counting. Their last BCC defeat came on November 12, 2020 – during the COVID-shortened season – against Bernards.
Central Jersey Sports Radio, once again, will have a bevy of coverage of Big Central Media Day, with interviews, photos and more. See all our content on cjsportsradio.com and follow us on Twitter for the very latest news and links!
