The Westwood Cardinals are off to their first-ever true state final – in the event’s second season.
The North 1, Group 2 champs shutout North 2, Group 2 champion Bernards at home Friday night, 17-0, to move on to the Group 2 title game, which will be held the week after Thanksgiving.
Westwood (12-0) will play South Group 2 champion Rumson-Fair Haven, which beat Central 2 champ Willingboro 35-28 Friday night. The game will either be at MetLife Stadium or Rutgers, and could be as early as Sunday, November 26th.
The NJSIAA expects to announce times, dates, and locations no later than Sunday at noon, according to association spokesman Mike Cherenson.
