From now through the end of the season, Central Jersey Sports Radio will be updating unofficial playoff standings following Friday night’s games. Full analysis after the weekend will come during the week as the official standings are released by Gridiron New Jersey.

Here’s a look at unofficial standings after games of Friday, October 6th in Group 3. Results are calculated using scores on Gridiron New Jersey as of 11:30 pm on October 6th.

No change to the top two here, but Summit‘s UPR dropped from 2.2 to 1.6 without even playing – they host Linden tomorrow. But it’s unlikely they can gain that many OSI points with a win – even though the Tigers are strong – to jump Old Tappan, which is in first after winning again Friday night, their 12th straight victory, the second-best active streak in the state. Cranford moved up from sixth to fifth with a win Friday night, while Hillside dropped from ninth to tenth bases on other results; they host Johnson Saturday. Governor Livingston didn’t hurt their cause with a loss to a very good Carteret team, and the Highlanders remain in 15th place. Voorhees still looks out of it at 20th, even with a win to get above .500 on the season.

Top two Timber Creek and Holmdel stay in place at Nos. 1 and 2, while Somerville – which plays Saturday at Westfield – jumped up two spots to sixth. Carteret‘s win over Governor Livingston moves the Ramblers up from 12th to 11th.
