For the Middlesex Baseball team, the road to the GMC Championship Tournament Semifinals goes through the GMC Red Division.
Then again, the GMC Red Division hasn’t exactly been a house of horrors for the Blue Jays.
In fact, they’re 8-5 against the division under head coach Justin Nastasi, whose team has played at least one Red opponent every except his first, 2014.
On Tuesday, fourth-seed Middlesex takes on fifth-seed South Brunswick in one of the afternoon GMC Tournament Quarterfinals. The Blue Jays have had a good string of recent success against the Vikings. They’ve won four straight meetings dating back to 2017. Their last loss to South Brunswick came on May 10, 2016.
