A sixth season of high school football coverage begins this week on Central Jersey Sports Radio, as the 2025 campaign is right around the corner, with most Big Central Conference schools beginning play in Week Zero, the weekend of August 28-30.
Once again this season, the BCC will hold its Media Day up at Kean University’s Harwood Arena in Union. The third annual event will feature nearly every league team, and CJSR’s Mike Pavlichko will have a recap Friday, plus stories and previews on selected teams and division-by-division audio previews in the weeks to follow.
Preseason practice – though many teams have been watching film, lifting weights, and participating in 7-on-7s already this summer – gets underway next Monday, August 11th, per NJSIAA rules. And starting Monday, Central Jersey Sports Radio high school football analyst Marcus Borden returns for his third season with us, bringing you the Camp Caravan coverage he’s been providing for over a decade.
Just like last season, Borden will tease each camp’s coverage on Twitter/X. You can follow Marcus here. We’ll have more details on his first-week Camp Caravan itinerary on Thursday, and you can find all that content on cjsportsradio.com, with links to Camp Caravan videos, all of which will be published on our Central Jersey Sports Radio YouTube channel.
To see all of Marcus Borden’s videos from last year, check out the 2024 Camp Caravan playlist on our YouTube Channel.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll have more and more stories on the upcoming season. Besides looking at some of the key teams, we’ll take a closer look at the season with:
