St. Thomas Aquinas – which has won the last five full county championships – received the top seed in the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament, which was seeded by committee Friday morning at Spotswood High School.

The Tournament begins Saturday morning with the play-in round, followed by the preliminary round next Monday , all at higher seeds, with the full first round of 16 teams playing Wednesday.

The quarterfinals all will be held on the same day again next Saturday, February 15th, at Spotswood High School.

Central Jersey Sports Radio will have live coverage of the girls’ semifinals at 5 and 7 pm on Tuesday, February 18th, with the boys’ on Wednesday at the same time, both at Monroe High School. The Girls’ Final is at 6 pm and the Boys’ Final at 8 pm on Friday, February 21st, also in Monroe.

Central Jersey Sports Radio’s coverage of the 2025 GMC Tournament is presented by “King James” at the George Street Playhouse in downtown New Brunswick.

St. Thomas Aquinas has won five straight full tournaments going back to 2019, before the school changed its name back from Bishop Ahr.

They won in 2020, as well as in 2022, 2023 and last season. (Monroe won the GMC’s top pod in the COVID-shortened 2021 season.) With the girls still having four divisions, all the division winners are guaranteed a top nine seed and a double-bye into Wednesday’s first round, the round of 16.

Normally it’s the top eight to the division winners, but Metuchen and Carteret tied for the blue, making it a top-nine guarantee. The comittee broke the tie in favor of Metuchen, which came out first.

Below are the complete brackets for the 2025 Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament:

Note: The original version of this bracket, which had Perth Amboy Magnet as the 27 seed instead of Piscataway Tech, has been corrected.
