As the football analyst for Central Jersey Sports Radio I can say that I saw 44 of the 59 teams in 2023, whether it was at practice, a scrimmage or a game. In all, I saw 12 practices, 12 scrimmages and 50 games last year.
With this past Saturday being the final stop for the 2024 GMC/BCC Camp Caravan Tour, I was able to see 22 teams in the eleven days of attending practices and scrimmages.
This past week’s scrimmage schedule included three quad scrimmages, one morning practice and three game scrimmages. All in al,l the weather was fall-like with very little heat and humidity and only one day with a quick rain shower and huge rainbow near Rahway’s River Park.
It is now my pleasure to introduce the 2024 Preseason Middlesex All-Area Offensive and Defensive teams. In addition, you will find an additional list of Players to Watch in 2024.
As a reminder to all the players at the 24 football playing schools in Middlesex County, what matters most is not how you start the season, it is how you finish it! Best of luck to all the players and coaches.
