Old Bridge got out to an early lead, and South Plainfield made it interesting – including with two out and runners at the corners in the seventh inning – but the third-seeded Knights ultimately prevailed, winning the GMC Tournament baseball championship with a 6-5 victory over top-seed and Red Division champion South Plainfield.
