The game was 6-0 at the half, but North Brunswick wasn’t panicking with a small lead.

Senior quarterback Frankie Garbolino, now in his third year as a starter, knew that with a solid defense, his Raiders had a little more time to put some points on the board.

They did put more points on the board, and in a rivalry game that saw Joe Goerge in his first game back as head coach at South Brunswick, beat their arch rivals, the Vikings, 19-0 at home in the season opener for both teams.

Garbolino threw for 125 yards and a touchdown on 12-of-17 passing, rushing for another 104 yards and a touchdown, while the defense limited South Brunswick to just 68 yards of total offense.
