The first meeting between Bridgewater-Raritan and Ridge was a flat out mess.
It had nothing to do with the 10-2 Ridge win. It was the fact that the game was suspended due to rain and lightning and picked up two days later. And neither coach feet it indicative of what the result would be the next time they met.

The same can be said for the Panther players, according to senior centerfielder Evan Goldberg, who’s also excited to be playing at TD Bank Park for the first time. That will be Monday night when 4-seed Bridgewater (9-8) rematches with top-seed Ridge (14-2) in the 7 pm Somerset County Tournament semifinal nightcap.
Goldberg got to watch his team play there as a freshman, but with no high school baseball due to COVID in 2020, and no SCT last season, this is his first – and last – chance to play there, at least for the Panthers.
Central Jersey Sports Radio will broadcast the game, with Mike Pavlichko and Chris Tsakonas calling all the play-by-play; click here to listen.
