No. 5 St. Joe’s faces powerhouse St. Benedict’s – and former coach – in Metuchen tonite

Mark Taylor has won championships and coached NBA stars. Tonight, he’ll be at the place where he coached Jay Williams and Andrew Bynum, facing his old school, St. Joseph of Metuchen.

For the Falcons, it will be a good measuring stick, a chance to knock off one of the top schools in New Jersey (ranked 4th according to MaxPreps), and a good way to toughen up with the GMC Tournament – the first in two years – just a few weeks away.

St. Joseph (12-3) has won five in a row, but hasn’t beaten the Gray Bees (10-1) since they recently began meeting up three years ago. They meet tonight at St. Joe’s in a game you can hear live on Central Jersey Sports Radio, with Dom Savino calling all the action. Tip-off is set for 7 pm from the Vincent Maglio Gymnasium. Pre-game will start approximately 6:45. Click here to listen live.
