Coming off a COVID-stoppage between Christmas and New Year’s – and already having their opener cancelled for non-COVID-related reasons, who knew what to expect from Colonia in the New Year, despite starting 2-0?
All they did was go 3-1 since resuming play January fourth, with senior guard Saivon Pressley scoring no fewer than 26 points in each game, with back-to-back 30-plus point games coming off the break, scoring 30 at North Brunswick, and 32 against Woodbridge.
He’s now averaging 26.2 points per game for the top-ranked Patriots – oh, and he joined the 1,000-point club Saturday in a loss to Lenape – making him the top scorer in the Greater Middlesex Conference.
