Their division – with the likes of Ridge, Bridgewater-Raritan and Phillipsburg – is enough of a bear.

But the 5th-ranked Hillsborough Raiders (5-0) also have No. 5 North Brunswick and No. 6 Old Bridge on the schedule.

Not to look ahead to far, this afternoon Hillsborough will have to go on the road to face a pesky Westfield team in the Saturday Big Central Game of the Week, driven by Mark Montenero and his team at the world-famous Autoland!

Westfield was pesky two weeks ago on the Big Central Game of the Week, dropping a 14-3 decision to Union.

They held the Farmers to their lowest offensive output of the season; they had not scored fewer than 28 points all year, but were limited to half that by the Blue Devils.

And they mounted long drives against Union, too, setting the tone early with a long drive to open the game that took about half the first quarter. They just couldn’t capitalize, coming away with three points on three trips into the red zone.
