Kurdyla brothers lead air connection for Bridgewater-Raritan into Battle of 206

Doesn’t matter if it’s the Skyland Conference, or the Big Central. One of the great rivalry games on the calendar every year in Somerset County is the Battle of Route 206, Hillsborough and Bridgewater-Raritan.

Those two teams will square off Saturday afternoon at 2 pm in a rescheduled Big Central Game of the Week driven by Mark Montenero and his team at the world-famous Autoland.

The game was moved from its original time due to the heavy rains and thunderstorms forecast for Thursday afternoon and evening.

Pre-game starts at 1:45 pm as Mike Pavlichko and Chris Tsakonas call all the action live from Basilone Field in Bridgewater. Click here to listen live.

The Panthers are lead by a sibling tandem of Brady Kurdyla at quarterback and junior Colin Kurdyla at wide receiver. The brothers are a key part of the Panthers’ 2-1 start to the year, with wins over Sayreville and Hunterdon Central. They look to get back on the winning track against their rivals at the other end of the highway after a 24-0 loss at the hands of Ridge last weekend.

The third-ranked Raiders are 3-0 and led by recent Rutgers committ Thomas Amankwaa at wide receiver/cornerback.
