As we head into the final day of the New Jersey high school basketball season, Bound Brook has a chance finish the year – albeit a COVD-shortened one – undefeated.
Just one more win – over Immaculata Saturday in the Skyland Conference Tournament Gold Division Pod Final – would put the exclamation point on a season that would go down well in Crusader history.
And should they accomplish the feat, they’d be in select company. Six other teams remain undefated in the Garden State.
According to the teams’ schedules on NJ.com, Pascack Hills (14-0), Union City (5-0), Dwight-Englewood (9-0), Camden (13-0) and Manasquan (12-0) are done with their seasons. Paterson Charter (9-0) has a 2 pm game Saturday against Manchester Regional.
And Bound Brook (13-0) faces Immaculata tomorrow.
One other team got knocked off Friday night, when Don Bosco knocked off 7-0 Bergen Catholic 56-54 to hand the Crusaders their first loss, dropping to 7-1.
