Two games this past weekend had significant impacts in the Top Ten, although Woodbridge kept its grip on the No. 1 spot.
The fist was No. 5 Watchung Hills’ first-ever win over Phillipsburg, a 21-20 come-from-behind win over the No. 4 Stateliners.
The second was unranked Union’s 25-0 shutout win over No. 3 St. Joseph of Metuchen, although the Falcons had been sidelined for nearly two weeks due to COVID-19, and were unable to practice as a team until the Friday before the game.
The win moved the Farmers back into the Top Ten, from which they had dropped following back-to-back losses to Bridgewater-Raritan and Ridge.
