While Rutgers may have pulled off what many would consider to be an upset – a 38-27 win in East Lansing over Michigan State – if only based on the depths to which the Scarlet Knights had sunk during the Chris Ash era, what Indiana did against Penn State this weekend should be all the reminder RU needs not to get ahead of itself.
Unranked Indiana pulled off a huge home win in its opener over No. 8 Penn State, 36-35, on a two-point conversion. The result dropped the Nittany Lions ten places in the AP Top 25, while Indiana made its debut in the poll at No. 17.
That means Rutgers will face a nationally-ranked Hoosiers ballclub Saturday afternoon at 3:30 at SHI Stadium in Piscataway.
