AUDIO: Ten years later, Eric LeGrand on his new charitable fundraising site Forbeto, his recovery, and friendship with Woodbridge football coach

by Mike Pavlichko

For a young man who can’t walk, Eric LeGrand is a pleasure to talk to. An absolute joy.

It was ten years ago today that No. 52 for the Scarlet Knights had his life change in an instant. He was paralyzed making a special teams tackle against Army at the New Meadowlands Stadium (before it even had a corporate name) on October 16th, 2010.

But still, a decade later, he bELieves.

In the meantime, Eric LeGrand – a native of Avenel who starred at Colonia High School and later joined Greg Schiano at Rutgers – is working to keep his body healthy for the day when he believes a cure will be found to allow him to get out of his wheelchair, stand up, and walk again.

Here’s my conversation with Big E from earlier this week!
