Woodbridge seniors had a great run

When Joe LaSala took over as the head coach at Woodbridge, the Barrons didn’t exactly come out of the gates like gangbusters, losing four of their first five games.

And there lies the turning point.

Woodbridge won four of their next five in 2018, and since that turning point, has a record of 19-3 spanning three seasons, with a trip to last year’s North 1 Group 4 state final thrown in.

That was Woodbridge’s first trip to a sectional final in 22 years, and the 2019 squad also clinched the program’s first divisional title in 28 years, scoring a program record for wins in a single season with 10 en route.
