GMC works out deal to bring 2026 baseball, softball finals to Rutgers University
First, the NJSIAA moved its state baseball finals to Rutgers, and now the GMC is following suit.
After months of conversations with new Rutgers Athletic Director Keli Zinn, the Greater Middlesex Conference announced today it will play its championship baseball and softball finals at RU’s newly-refurbished stadiums on the Livingston Campus in Piscataway.
The baseball final – which can be heard live on Central Jersey Sports Radio – is next Saturday at 2 pm at Bainton Field, while the softball final will be at the Rutgers Softball Complex – right next door – next Wednesday night at 7:00.
Both facilities are across the street from Jersey Mike’s Arena, the home of the men’s and women’s basketball and wrestling teams.
