With the passing Monday of legendary Immaculata football coach Pierce Frauenheim, we dug back in the archives to find any audio we could of the man who won well over 300 games and remains one of the winningest coaches in Jersey gridiron history.
And the most recent thing we came up with was from 2019, as Somerville and his former school Immaculata got ready to renew their rivalry after several years off. They would meet on Cutoff Weekend, November 1, 2019, and Somerville would win the game big.
Somerville won that game, and the two haven’t met since, which means of the 20 matchups between the Spartans and Pioneers, Frauenheim coached in all but one of them: the 2019 contest. Somerville leads the all-time series 14-6.
