Mike Pavlichko has been covering high school sports in Central Jersey for more than 25 years!
After 20 years of high school football coverage on New Brunswick-based WCTC, local gridiron action has arrived on the Internet, in the form of Central Jersey Sports Radio.
When it comes to local high school football, Mike has seen it all: the dynasty at Piscataway, the resurgence of Sayreville, the epic state title battles between Bridgewater-Raritan and Westfield.
How many pros has he seen? Too many to mention.
Controversies? He’s seen a few.
But now, his signature coverage has found a new home.
Central Jersey Sports Radio launched in August of 2020 – in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic – and began its coverage this fall with high school football: nine regular season games, plus the post-season. As restrictions eased, and the NJSIAA announced the return of other sports, we added boys’ and girls’ basketball in the winter, and baseball in the Spring.
Besides the live broadcasts of three sports, we’ve also got feature stories, rankings, analysis and podcasts. All with one basic goal: to provide coverage of and promote the thousands of outstanding student-athletes and athletic teams of the many schools in our coverage area, spanning Midddlesex and Somerset Counties, along with Union, Hunterdon and Warren in football.
